Default fuel line and nitrous

For those with a wet nitrous kit, where did you tap into your fuel line? I see some people saying they tapped the fuel rail and others saying they just cut into the line. The zex directions are very straight forward except for this part. What is the best and safest method for getting fuel? Pics would be great!!

I have seen a number of members using the service port on the fuel rail.. Seems to be the most non-destructive place to hookup.

it is dark here so I can't go look, but does an '03 have a schrader valve on the fuel rail? I know some models do and some don't. It would be awesome if it did because I could just hook right off of that. Has anyone done it this way and had good results?

I know I was just looking at a post where some was using that valve. I'll see if I can find the post.

I don't know about the '03 but on the '00 there is no service port. NX makes a part that allows you to tap into the fuel rail for nitrous or a fuel pressure gauge or whatever. The NX part number is 16183 and the link Clicky-Clicky. Based on the link/part no. it looks like you need it for the '03.

I read somewhere that Ford stopped putting a schrader valve on the fuel rail in mid 2003. I have a 2003 and it doesn't have one. I got one of those adapters to hook up my fuel pressure gauge, so last weekend I was going to install it but I was thinking that the adapter just fit on the end of the fitting between the fuel rail and the fuel line. The part I have does not fit so I put it back together thinking I had the wrong part. After thinking about it later I'm guessing I have to pull the fitting of the end of the fuel line and connect the adapter directly to the fuel line then put the fitting on the end of the adapter, then reconnect the fitting to the fuel rail. Hope that made a little sense. LOL Anybody else have this fitting?

Look over the right head. There is an adapter that fits between the fuel rail and the vacuum.
