i thought on sn95s all you had was 2 plastic clips that you unclipped and filter comes off..

on mine there was to plastic clips. they come on the new oil filter so you can get an idea of what they look like. i just took a screw driver and pryed them off. watch out for fuel from the fuel lines. i didnt think anything thing of the fuel in the filter and the lines so i had gas all over the place.

yeah as if it werent bad enough that i had got gas everywhere when i had a bad tank grommit, when i went and did the filter i got at least a gallon of gas spilled all over me and the driveway. i hate gas! its just 2 clips to pull out. you gotta either pull your fuel pump cut off plug and run the car until it dries or pull the fuel pump fuse and do the same.i know the 98s are when they switched to returnless so maybe you have the same disconnect for the lines as the newer ones, in that case you need the stupid quick disconnect tool for ford.

If you goto Kragen you can get a quick disconnect set for removing the fuel filter, its basically a cheap piece of plastic you fit over the line and slide along it to release the quick disconnects. Its a 10$ kit from Kragen or a bit more from online retailers.

Well you dont want dirty fuel going through your engine right? You are supposed to change them every 30k miles I think. But when I took one end of the fuel lines off the gas coming out of it was a blackish color HAHA. Well I guess I will have to buy that tool then. See if it works. THANKS FOR THE RESPONSES!!
