Default Wing questions

Let me first say taking off the wing looks great, and I will probably even do it some day... but I have a few questions first :P

Does the factory wing actually do anything for aerodynamics (I know mustangs are not that aero), or does it cause more drag?

If you remove the wing, would it change the way your car drives?

Thank you in advance!

Default RE: Wing questions

It wouldnt effect anything unless youre travelling at rediculously fast speeds. Wings on race cars (that go really fast) create downforce to help keep the a$$ end planted on the ground. I don't think there are too many streetable mustangs that need a spoiler/wing. The wings on our cars are really just for decoration/aesthetic purposes in my opinion. I like the way they look on a factory mustang, but with wide tires and a drop like SOHC's or CODE3's I prefer wingless, so damn sexy.

aerodynamics really dont do anything til you go over 120mph, if you look at nascar the have open widows on small tracks and closed windows on the super speedways.
