I have a 13lb fidanza flywheel and I love it. I could definately feel the difference after getting it installed. The car picks up and goes a bit nicer with it in. I highly recommend it, code3gt is the one who recommended it to me...and I'm glad he did.

How much is new flywheel? I know you need to get the stock one reground when you replace the clutch, but how much would a new one be?

All you need is a friction plate to "resurface" the flywheel... about $100....
Dont recall the cost of the flywheel but count on $300-400...

I have a fidanza billit steel flywheel. It depends on what your looking for. After talking to a few people I found out that if you have a heavier flywheel the rotating mass is more and it will carry you out of the whole much faster than a lighter flywheel would. Which would mean better 60 foot and 1/4 mile. But a lighter flywheel will help when you are going faster, more like roll racing on the street. But if your not making major horsepower then it doesnt matter to get a heavier one. Its also cheaper if its heavier.

also, my flywheel was also 250.00

im not sure i agree with what youre saying... a heavier flywheel is not going to help you on the strip... it can help you on the street an daily driving... when you launch at high rpms the less rotating mass the better... in a heavy car (mustangs arent really heavy) an on the street, an aluminum flywheel (which im talking about) will behave as if youre starting in second gear...

im saying a heavier flywheel will get you out of the hole faster if your not making that much power. If youve got a lot of power to compensate for that then a lighter flywheel will be better.

Lots of plans for supercharger and such in the works so I guess it don't matter for me either way. I am not a big drag strip guy though really, this is my daily driver and I love it.
