I think it's important to be able to ease on and off the gas(i.e. moving in reverse).

could you use a piece of fuel injection hose instead of a formed plastic tube? I might just give this mod some thought.

I did it and it works well for moving the gas pedal up a little for better heel-toe downshifts.

I checked and my throttle opened 100% even without this mod though, but it definitely feels and operates better now.
