Default RE: Break in period

My gears got installed today and I'm hoping to get my ride back tomorrow..

My tech said gears really don't need a break in period if they are installed the right way.. Hes putting mine in, doing a tune and throwing it on the dyno.. He went on to say the quality of the gears and the quality of the install will determine if they need to be broke in.. Gears are not like a motor with hundreds of moving parts that need to form patterns..

Thats what I was told and I trust my tech.. IMO take it easy for a day or so and then give em hell.. I however will get mine and try em out on my way home.. If something breaks then I take the car back.. Simple as that..
