I don't know how efficient the series II are at 6 psi...I was looking to buy one from a guy a while back, said he had a 14psi pulley on it reaching only 400 rwhp....It seemed like high psi to me for those numbers, but now looking at your post, it might make sense...I don't know exactly what he did to keep it running cool though...Good luck with whatever happens...

regardless it should be making much more than 280 WHP with 6 PSI and exhaust mods.

If thats an eaton M90 blower, then thats about right at 6 psi. Crank up the boost man.

Sorry about the dissapointing numbers. I was actually looking forward to them too. I'm positive you can turn that around with a good tune.

How do you figure? The car should be making 250~ with no boost at all. No reason a PI car with a full exhaust (even with shorties) should make under 300 WHP.

At best, that M90 would make 50hp at the crank over stock and thats not rwhp. Maybe he needs a custom tune, but its still bottom of the barrel as far as blowers go. FRPP sells an eaton M90 for the 2v 4.6l and at 6 PSI they claim 55 HP. Thats how I figure.

They also claim this on a stock exhaust car, with the dealership tune. Exhaust on a blower makes a huge difference, as does a good tune

Think of it this way. I have seen plenty of people on the MPH forums making 370~ WHP at 10 PSI on otherwise stock cars (with the same kit) I made 415~ WHP. Most of that gain is in the exhaust, with some in the cams (although they are not optimised for a blower).

The M90 is definatly not a good blower for a 2v car, but it should make more than 280 WHP on a exhaust'd GT, even with shorties, at 6 PSI.

regardless, pully it to 8 or 9 PSI and get a good tune at a MUSTANG shop. The ford tune is gonna have all kinds of timing pulled and more than likely a real rich a/f ratio.

i purchased the car with with the stock roush exhaust. so I added all of the exhaust that is on it now (headers, X pipe, Muflers), and have not tuned it since it was purchased. It came from the dealer with the SC, so I am assuming the tune sucks, so that will be my next mod. If i pick up the boost there are places that I can purchase a better intercooler and heat exchanger which would make a big difference.

The SC is a eaton/magnuson MP90 generation IV, which is better than the M90. Roush has always, and still does (06 stage 3) use this style of SC (which is definatley not the best). But I agree that my car should be putting down more HP/TQ. I was assuming it would be around 350-360rwhp, which I thought would be fine with the setup I have. I think a good tune will put me there easily. I need to check the fuel injectors on my car, i believe they are supposed to be 42#, and possibly upgrade the MAF.

when i was at the dyno, the shop had said his friend has a 03-04 (he was not sure) cobra (also has a roots SC stock like mine). He said that the pully was upgraded, and he was getting around 12-14psi. He also had BBK shorties, and a X pipe with high flow cats. He stated that this mustang was putting down 460whp. I do not see how the extra 6psi would get him another 180whp. Or are the DOHC motors that much better?

What shorties are better jba or bbk?

the m90 gain of 55whp, was that intercooled?
