Just would like to talk to someone about my 1997 GT

RE: Just would like to talk to someone about my 1997 GT
I think buying a used sports car can be a good choice sometimes. I bought my 99 gt in feb. of this year with 27,000 miles on it. I bought an extended 5 year warranty for it so i'm good till 2009 or 125,000 miles, whichever is first. I am still a teenager so i can't afford a new car or a used one w/o a warranty that i would have to keep dumping cash in repairs. Try to get a warranty if your car is still new enough. My car was babied..never driven winters and it is in showroom condition. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I bought my 97 gt about 4 months ago with 12,500 miles. Now i have about 18,000. I am throwing Evaporative system codes as well. The check engine light comes on and off every 2 or 3 weeks or so. But other than that no problems what so ever.

I bought my 02 GT 2 years ago with 3 miles I put this car through pure hell and a daily flogging. But, I maintain the car well and haven't had anyproblems. I've already got 50k on the clock (lotsa work driving) - not as much now. The first 40k was put on in a little over a year. I've had most of the car apart and put back together again already.
My point is you can abuse it and still take care of it at the same time. I've never replaced any part that's failed - nothing. So if anyone needs any stock parts for an '02 GT.... hell I've probably got them on my garage floor.
