How important is it to get the X pipes??

How important is it to get the X pipes??

I will be buying the loudmouth II cat-back system, but I haven't decided on the X pipes.. Are they worth the extra money?

from what I have heard they really open up the exhaust as opposed to just a cat back. What kina car do you have? the 96-98s have really restrictive mid pipes (like mine) and the 99-04s aren't so bad. But if you have the money it's worth it. Mid pipe plus cat back will equal a noticable gain.

thats prob the most restrictive part of your car. then comes manifolds then stock cat back. it will free up the most hp in exhaust without doin lt headers

i just did mine and you wont believe how much it helps.... catback you wont notice a difference but the xpipe you will notice a difference....

I think so... With my O/R X pipe and magnaflows, I went from 6 catalytic convertors and 2 huge mufflers (stock for 96-98 GT's) to ZERO cats and straight thru mufflers. I almost shat myself when I romped on the gas. Other than gears, it was the most noticable mod I have. Not to mention the sound [sm=drooldude.gif]

its def. worth it. As far as performance goes, its more "worth it" than a cat back. Plus it makes it alot louder.

ImportSlayer, I will find out in a week or so. My SLP catted X-pipe was shipped yesterday.
All the research and questioning I had done before finally pulling the trigger resulted in answers like the other fine people gave you above.
As I said, I will find out soon, and I trust you will find out for yourself soon after that.
JUST GET IT!
