Default Weird TPS Question

hey guys - my tb + plenum is sitting here in my room, and i was putting it together in anticipation of an install in the next couple days, and everything was going fine. however, when i grabbed the new TPS i bought (with no screws, no less!) it didnt line up with the bolt holes on the tps correctly.

for the holes on the TPS itself to match the holes on the TB, it sits at an angle, and not level. its like you have to place the back of the TPS flat on the TB, and then turn it some until the holes line up. if you turn it more, you can feel something catch (like the valve from the TB) and turns. any idea what is going on here?

the tb + plenum bolted together just fine, and i was a little mad to see no tps replacement screws, but this seemed kind of odd. i figure it should line up straight, but no go. any ideas, or am i just worrying about nothing. it seems like the tps on my car now sits level.

thats how its supposed to go... There needs to be alittle load already on the TPS, your car still needs to idle when you shut the throttle completely. If it went all the way off the car would shut off. I ont know if I explained it well enough, but its fine.

It's normal... I just installed my t/b and plenum today and it is the same as you described.

i just thought it was weird that the stock one sat straight, and this one didnt. oh well.

and btw, are the TB valve (plate screw) and TPS settings (voltage) set to roll out of the box? i know the accufab TB tells you to leave the screw alone, its set from the factory. do they need any tweaking?
