to repaint? or not to repaint?

Hey guys, I'm getting some bodywork and repaint done to my rear quarter panel and my rear bumper from an accident. The bodywork is covered by my insurance and I have to pay $200 for repainting the rear bumper. While I'm at it, I figured I might as well repaint the front bumper too since it looks like sh!t from bug damage and scratches from bottoming out and other stuff. I've talked to some people and they've told me that on an older black car, when one part of it is repainted the rest of the body that has faded from the sunlight will not match the fresh paint. Will a buff/wax job take care of this problem??? Here's some pics to help you out.

A good paint shop will be able to match it and 'age' the paint so you cant even tell the difference :P

That front bumper is pretty bad, I say repaint it. And its the front bumper too...its not like it is going to be right up against another piece, so you won't even notice the color difference if there is any.

BTW....why do you have an SVT badge on your car?

I would go ahead and repaint the front as well. Good luckman.

PS- Whats up with the SVT badge?

ok guys, thanks for the advice, I'm going to call up the shop tomorrow and tell them everything. even to "age" it :)

PLEASE! As soon as the body work and repaint is done, I will replace the badges. Those were the previous owners' evil doings. There were 3 of em [:@]

Wow so in the future I can put a new hood on my car and have them age it! Thats cool...Is it expensive? How do they do it?
