It works like a Ram Air type intake. If you remove the headlight it leaves the filter much more exposed to oncoming air. With all of that extra air being pushed into the intake it is basically like a form of a supercharger without any of the cost or near the power gains. In theory it should work. IN THEORY.

Fast cool air is just fast cool air, not compressed air. You need a device to compress the air for it to be more dense than atmospheric pressure provides (a.k.a. supercharged). Removing the headlight might get you slightly cooler air and get it a little quicker if you can get to a high enough speed for it to happen.

WEll, the way I have my airbox cut, I think it may help a bit to remove the headlight, I'll try it, cant hurt,,
Can you please refresh my memory on deep vs. shallow staging????? I can't remember
I know my biggest problem is gonna be launching, but I will get it, it's been a long while, but I'll get it, Hopefully I'll be able to get a few passes in.
I expect my first to be horrible ( mid 14's), but I am just hoping to get into the 13's by the end of the night. Thanks for the input so far

I've found that when my auto was near stock, foot braking to about 1200rpm's provided the best launch. With a stock stall a 2.0 sixty ft is what you can expect on street tires. Also, let the computer do the shifting for you instead of going up 1-2-3(not sure if you were gonna try this but its a waste of time) just leave O/D off. Good luck to ya.

Why leave o/d off?, by off do you mean click the button so it says off or what?
