Default N/A Cobra 4V vs. GT 2V modability

What are the pros and cons to each and the aftermarket support for each. Which is cheaper or more effettive to mod? Are there super/turbocharging options for both? What is the std. hp for each? The reason I'm asking is I'm trying to decide on a 99-04 GT or 99-02 Cobra and I need a little more info.

in general, cobra parts are more expensive but you will get more HP for each mod.

And you won't be stuck at 280-290RWHP with full bolt-ons.

That's better than the 200fwhp that I'm used to with full bolt ons! But I remember reading a thread a few days ago that the 99 GT was faster than a 99 Cobra. What's up with that? Driver error? Are there any other drivetrain differences the Cobra has that the GT doesn't?

It's absolutely not faster. Difficulties with IRS off the line really gives a EXTREMELY WELL DRIVEN 99+ 5sp GT a fighting chance.

So the IRS is a negative to the Cobra? Does it improve handling though?
