O.k. do you guys think it would be stupid to put a saleen body kit on a 97 cobra? A co-worker of mine is planning to have a body kit put on his car and I am trying to get him to put a saleen body kit, but leave the stock hood and cobra symbols in place. To give it that saleen cobra look. His car is red and it's nicely lowers and pretty stock except for flowmaster weld-ins. And were there any sn95 saleen cobras produced if so whats the stats? I have seen pictures of new edge ones but can't find any sn95's to show him. guys help save him from the riced out kits that he is looking at. plus if he get the saleen w/ wheels i will get the 97' cobra rims.

If I had a cobra I would leave it as stock looking as possible. It's a special car.

Thats a nice saleen but it doesnt look oem it looks like he hooked it up, maybe its because they are rare you dont see them as much.

he says its stock under 3000 miles that car is going to sell for a boat load of cash!!! the buy it now is 18000$ id say its worth more then that.

That is probally the rarest mustang, besises 93' cobra r, the saleen cobra only 128 ever made only 54 were 96-98 saleen cobra's. Only 2 red coupe saleen cobra's and they were only made in 1997 for the 96-98 models. I think that fact alone will steer him the right way!
