nitrous on a 2004 gt?
if i install a zex wet kit with 75 shot of nitrous on my mustang and dont get the car dyno'd right away will 2 or 3 times spraying hurt it bad? or should i not install it till i get TR6 ngk plugs and able to get on a dyno? when i go to get it tuned i will prolly get tuned for 125 shot... is this a bad idea? also purge isnt really "needed" i can buy it a month later right?

Personally... I'd still not use the spray until you get it dyno'ed.. even though it's a safe shot. Especially seeing how, if you blow anything up, it's out of your pocket.. no warranties on Nitrous from Ford.

I would not run it until you can get it on the dyno. I installed the same kit last weekend and took it to the dyno with the 75 shot on it. I did change the plugs because I was told that was pretty necessary. The reason you want to go to the dyno is because they can measure your air fuel ratio. If anything is loose or if there is some reason that your fuel is not flowing correctly then as soon as you hit the gas you are gonna lean out and blow something. The dyno can monitor that from the first blast of nitrous and back off if anything starts to lean out. You would have to do it by ear and usually once you hear it ping it is too late.
I will say that mine was hooked up according to the directions and there were no problems, but better to find that out on a dyno for a hundred bucks than to find out in the street it was not right at the cost of a new engine!

so i will go with 100 shot and get it dyno'd for that.... i was thinkin bout getting that 4 bank sct chip... getting 4 tunes 1 for street (no nitrous) 2nd for 75 shot 3rd for 100 shot and 4th for 125 shot.... but do i need differnt tunes for differnt shots? or is it overkill

RE: nitrous on a 2004 gt?
I have a 93 octane tune, a straight nitrous tune, and a window switch tune which give me a lot of advancement in timing up to 3000 rpms and then backs the timing way off at 3k so when my nitrous kicks in at 3200 rpms the timing is adjusted. I run the same tune for my 75 and 100 tunes. It runs a little rich with the 75, but that is much better than lean. I would not recommend running a 125 shot on any stock internals. I know some people do it, but stock fuel pump, fuel injectors, and fuel rails will not support enough gas flow to keep the car running with a good mix. The 125 shot is just a matter of time before you lean out and blow.
