it will thro your a/f off. Make it leaner prolly. I dont know how much a MAF is gonna help alone...now, if you do MAF/CAI/TB/Plenum...then that should help noticeably (sp?). But any mods you do to a car are always complimented by a tune. You will get more power out of your mods if you tune the car with them.

first let me say thank you for the answer. seems like almost everytime i post i get no reply. i am getting c&l intake, 85mm mass, 75mm t/b w/plenum. so it will run lean? will i still get a pretty good gain? will the stang run like s if it runs lean?

If your n/a there is no reason you would need a 85mm MAF...your car would run like crap. Upgrading to even an 80mm on a fairly stock n/a gt will not get you a noticeable gain. Spend the money on the rest of the intake and save what you wouldve spent on the MAF.

yeah, i thought a bigger maf, like 85-90 was only really good or usable on fi.

the stock maf is good for around 300 hp, and if you put an uncalibrated 85mm maf you will lean out bad. stick with the stock maf untill you add more power.
