it was explained to me that the rattle is the "echo" (doesn't really sound like an echo to me, just tapping) of your exhaust valves and the x-pipe's shape makes it sound like that. Thing is, I don't understand why some people have it, and some don't. I can usually only hear mine when I'm driving next to another car or I'm next to a high curb or when the rpms are really low and I don't give it enough gas to downshift and raise the rpms and it's almost bogging. once I get above 2000rpms I can't hear anything other than the exhaust anyway.

OMG, your car sounds insane, Im diggin the crap out of that!!!! I heard another SLP sound clip on a black GT and it ranked up there with yours!!!!! I was going to go check out some Magnaflows this weekend but maybe I need to research those SLP Loud Mouths a bit more, HOWEVER, I would only drop about $225 (installed) verses how much with SLPs???????

i could be wrong, but I don't think you can find any (brand name) catback system for $225, especially if that includes install.

No, no, no, Im talking strictly mufflers, nothing else. I do not have a full exhaust system on my stang; just o/r x and some Flowmaster mufflers. What Im going to have done for $225. is change out the mufflers!! LOL Im cheap, dont want to let go of the cash, YET!

Ok im about to set the record straight......my 01 Gt Has super 40 Flows....I bougth shorty bbk tuned headers and an O/R BBK X-pipe....IT sounds TERRIBLE between 2200 and 2800 RPM's.....I then did a product review search and 90% of the people who had them have this problem.....I talked to a buddy of mine who owns a great ford perf. shop, and he told me most o/r X's...especially the BBK sound like that with dual chamber mufflers.....i like my flows, so I sold the BBK and bought a mac prochamber.....It sounds great I get compliments everywhere about how its the cleanest mustang exhaust they have ever heard........i think u have a problem with ur prochamber or an exhaust leak.....mine sounds great.....Its def. a lot quiter then the BBK but its sounds so clean
