Default Bassani X-pipe

<FONT face=verdana, arial, helvetica size=2>I just purchased a Bassani X-pipe w/cats, &amp; was wondering a couple things about it. I've been doing a lot of research, but I want to know some first hand experiences.

1st) How much horsepower am I looking at from this X-pipe application? I decided on the X w/high flow cats, because I live in Chicago and have emission testing. I was told that since these cats are hi-flow (unlike factory cats) there will be very little difference in hp from the o/r x-pipe.

2) How will that X-pipe sound once it's applied? I am ordering a Magnaflow Cat-back system soon. I am going for a louder but not obnoxious sound. I'd like it to be throaty, but loud, yet not too raspy. I ALSO WANT the Horsepower gains from Magnaflow</FONT></P>

With all of your exaust mods, im guessing 20-30hp. l heard good comments about the x-pipe/Magnaflow combo. When you're getting a x-pipe, just make sure you stay with a muffler that has the straight thru design (Magnaflow, Dynomax).

Buy some high flow CatCo 'cats from summit.

They're suprisingly cheap if you get a universal that will fit your car.

I read on prices on the Xw/cats that I purchased between $500-$700, but I ordered from a whoesaler and had them next day shipped to my house (at no charge) for $360.99 <IMG src=smileys/smiley16.gif border="0">. Lifetime warranty also, so if I do have any problems w/the cats, they'll be replaced. I am not do for a test until 2006 anyway..by then I may have a new toy <IMG src=smileys/smiley8.gif border="0">

I know it would be a pain but you could take them off when the time comes again..<edited><editID>MustangGTRocks</editID><editDate>37774.5887268518</editDate></edited>

I may actually remove the cats for a while. I was to hear my setup w/the cats on and w/out them on. When I get the work done, the guy said he'd let me hear the difference in sound.
