Default question about windowtint?

Ive finally decided to tint my baby, i want to go 5% allround but is this gonning to be too dark? How will i see outof the back window at night or just goin down the higway, if this is goin to affect visibility im not goin to go that dark.

also i have heard many problmes with the tiny bubbles at the top of the rear window should i look for a shot that gurantees there work? I was quoted $250 for the rear, and 4 side windows. is this a good price?

I have 20% tint and I can see alright at night so your probably fine. My tint cost me 170 with a 3 year warranty and with the back they didn't sand down those little bubbles whch is what you need if you want the tint to stay down on the top of the rear windown so if you were paying 250 i would make sure they sanded that down before i went there or if they didn't do that make sure they atleast put the black strip on it.

when they do the rear glass have them fit it to the glass with a hot air gun that way it is done in one pc. and the 5% is great and you can open a window to let light in when needed

+1 i would go with 20% on all windows except the front. Get 35% on the front and it will be very difficult for people to see in your car. It will look good.

I have some old 5% limo tint on my stang right now and it is horrible. I can't see through it at night. I would not go with the 5%, I think I will replace it with 20% on the back and c pillar windows but 35% on the side and front strip. This is for legal purposes.

The 5% is all about what you can and cant handle, I think 5% is very, very dark but at the same time is very bad *** looking, especially on certain stang colors. Regarding the back glass beads, this is what I had to tell another member........

I have an 04 GT with the same black beads at the top of the back glass. There are two ways that I know of to fix this problem; the local tint shop, where I live, will place a piece of black vinyl across just the top part of the back glass and it looks pretty good!! Or you can do like I did, leave that part of the glass without tint; mine doesnt look bad at all. But look into the vinyl, Ive seen it and its pretty wicked and legal!!!!!

Now, I do know the guys at our local tint shop so I only paid $125 to tint the back glass (w/out a top strip) and all four windows and a front tint band @ 20%.

I have 20%, it looks plenty dark from outside especially since i have black interior but sometimes on dark corners it's a little hard to see the curb

If your going to go any lower than 35% than might as well ger 5% because after 35% its obviously too dark for the law. I paid $150 to remove old tint and re tint. Anything over $200 with pre un tinted windows is a rip off. Espicaly if it does not have a life time warrenty.
