Is this a good plan?

Is this a good plan?
OK, so this is what im thinking. First im going to lower my car, because the rear sags a little and because its just really high off the ground. Im probably going with H & R pro-sport springs and get cc plates at the same time. Then if i have some extra cash for my car by the end of the summer ill get a pypes cated x pipe. Then while im in college ill save up some money from month to month for a PI swap and cams, while my mustang stays at home (no cars on campus freshamn year). Sound good?

Sounds like a good plan to me, a lowered car looks nasty, it will improve the handling and look a lot.
PI swap and all that stuff is a very good idea for you to generate some real power. However, instead of the X pipe, why waste the money on a midpipe if you are keeping the stock catback and stuff, not worth it IMO. If you are not going to save that money at least get a catback and generate some nice sound... A midpipe with the stock catback is pretty dumb IMO.

one of the first mods I did to my car was lowering springs.. and replacing the midpipe is always good.

RE: Is this a good plan?
you'll want new shocks and struts with those H&R's. I have H&R's on my GT and I like them just fine. I suggest getting some Foxbody shocks/struts if you are on a tight budget. I'm a college kid too, so i know what it's like to be strapped for mod money. Look in the How-To section for my tutorial on installing the shocks/sturts/springs. It's pretty easy and will save you 2-300 bucks if you do it yourself. Oh and get some gears too!

Yea, gears are on my seemingly never-ending list of things to do. My freind and are are definitly going to do the install ourselfs. We put a lift on his Jeep Liberty (with some help), and since then we ve become more mechanicaly inclined.
