Default Removal Of Exhaust, Loose Power?

If I remove the exhaust, will I loose power? If so how much will I loose on a 2003 Mustang Mach 1. Its rated at 305. Is their any other "Free" ways to make it louder?
Thanks
eventually I will add exhaust. But that will be a long time.

why would you do that? you can buy a set of cheap weld in mufflers for like 100 bucks for both of them. i dont' understand why people have a nice car like that and just rig the hell out of it. don't be a cheap bastard. at least buy a set of weld in mufflers

Becuase some people do not have $100 to spend. I am 17 and my parents will not allow and let me have a job, I do not get any money, I just bought the car and am trying to find "free" ways of making it more to my liking. I am broke and my parents will not pay a dime except on insurance and gas until I am 18. I have a friend younger than me with a 2003 cobra with lots of mods, and 2 other friends with modded mustang Gt's. I have to pay for everything without a job and until I finish HS. Parents only pay for Insurance and Gas.

You should be happy enough just getting a Mach 1. An exhaust mod isn't gonna help be faster than anyone of your friends that you're not faster than already. I can only assume, that your Cobra friend is WAY too fast for you, and that you should be way too fast for your GT friends already.

Damn right. Be happy with a Mach 1 the way it is now. My first car was a 91 Baby blue Mercury Sable station wagon that I had to build in order to get it running. DO NOT bitch about a MACH1
