true...but there are more people that want more or are more satisfied with the 4.10s
there are more people that are happy with 4.10s than people who are happy with 3.73s
Where is this information coming from? I would like to see statistics on this since you seem absolutely sure.

...also, Lazr, you don't have enough power to reach your top speed so you definately won't notice any decrease in it.
there's no absolute statistic, it's just what i've found when i was researching for what gears i want. i searched many sites for many days trying to figure out what would be best for me. and durring that time i've noticed more people are satisfied with 4.10's than 3.73's. i'm in no way saying that 4.10's will always be better, because it depends on your situation...but for the most part, and most people, 4.10's are the way to go. people just get scared because there are so many rumors started by people who never had them

Exactly, just depends on what you want and if you have a vert and your rpms are at 2300 and the wind noise, exhaust etc drowns out everything. Going another 300 rpms higher would make this the loudest car to drive down the freeway- since its a vert. anyway,

get a shift kit-transgo hd2. Its the best thing you can get with your auto. I have the heaviest stang made-95 gt vert with 3.73's and chirp second. Keep in mind I have 18 inch wheels 9's all around and still chirp them, so definately a shift kit. Normal driving is still very good- barely tell a difference. Give her hell and its the best feeling for the auto- instead of coasting into gear, you will be "thrown" into gear-sort of like a push in the back. Best thing you can get, trust me.
Gears are only as good as the hp's your putting out... 3.73's or 4.10's will help a little, but Hp is what your really after, dont let everybody fool you. Good luck and get a shift kit!!!

edit: you have full control of shifting as well... holds any rpm- then slam into second, get that chirp and your gone buddy. If you just want to cruise around, leave it in drive and its normal again. Best freakin' thing for an auto
