Fuel Additives

Fuel Additives
The manual says not to use any "Maganese based" fuel additives. What the hell does that mean. Is it safe to run a bottle of Techron through the tank to ensure the injectors/rails are clean and and stuff..?

RE: Fuel Additives
i just ran a bottle of the lucas injector cleaner with the last tank... car runs just fine, and it took the "pinging" away. When the injector clearner was put in i also used 89 octane chevron gas... and ill tell you what.. the car ran like it was brand new again!
So i think you should be ok.

RE: Fuel Additives
What's wrong with using an oil additive? I have not used any but I didn't think it could be harmful.

RE: Fuel Additives
most oil additives cause the oil to foam and when cold become too thick. rather than mask a problem, fix it!
the most I would say putting in your engine would be a high milage oil, like my valvoline max life.
i have an oil burn in problem, but have soon plans of fixin it
