What is the oil capacity for a '99 GT? The OM says 5qts, but I've heard some people say they use 6. What do u guys do?

You'll see that everybody uses a different amount. My book says 5 qts on one page and then 6 on another, but it takes 6.5 qts to fill it up so.... but everyone is always between 5-6.5 qts.....don't know why its so different for everyone

99-01 5 quarts or 5.5, 02-04 6 quarts.

My manual for my 04 says 6 qts. 6.5 fills it.

follow your om then just check the level after to be sure then just add if needed.
