Cobra's = 280 CI?

Cobra's = 280 CI?
I know a guy who lives in my town who has an 03 cobra. He was showing us in his owners manual where it is a 280 cubic inch motor. Why is this, would the different forged crank have a slightly smaller stroke than a gt?

i know they have less compression so this could be true....

Compression doesn't have anything to do with it, its the area of the bore times the stroke times the number of cylinders.

a cast or forged crank has nothing to do with the stroke
