Default time for an ol change, switch for summer?

should i continue to run 5w30 or run the lighter 10w30 for the summer months? and yes i will go through 3k miles before summer is over. i live in IL and my car sits outside all day while im at work in the 85 90 deg heat? think it would be worth it or no? any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

first of all the higher the number the thicker the oil, higher viscosity

second those oils have the same viscosity in the summer, the "w" number is the winter weight. hence the "w"

i run 5w-20 all the time, seems easier on the engine
