i have a 2000 auto and it was gov'd at 120 mph, but since i got it reprogrammed i've had it up to about 165-170 mph but the aero dynamics get kinda scary at such high speeds...especially if you have that hood scoop, i let off of the gas cus i was afraid the hood was gonna pop up or the scoop rip off

Some guy a few miles away from bought a 99-04 mustang GT. He and his buddies were all out cruising up and down the shistiest roads in Tulsa OK. He blew one tire out so he put the donut on. He did a huge burnout and got going 140 (est by police) and crashed. Both DEAD. Think about that next time.
By the way. I drove a c6 and got it going 140 like childs play. i was using the paddle shifter mode. never got the rpm's over 4 grand.

135 in a stock 00 GT. but that wasnt the greatest idea. probably wouldnt do it again lol.. but i flew by this old grannie doin 55 and i think i gave her a heart attack.

and yea those c6's are very stable at high speed. they were kinda designed to go that fast unlike the mustang where it gets really unstable
