Not sure if it has been asked yet, let me know if it has, but what is the top goverend speed of a mustang gt? And what would it be if you took off, got a tuner or whatever?

ha i dont. just curious. i was reading another forum about how this mustang raced a 350z and won, so i assume its a GT, cause he said he won by about a car. He said he got up to 140 and his car stopped pulling.

that may be because he was in OD and the power drops off towards the very top of the RPM range.

I have had my car up to 120 and hit traffic so I had to slow down. I don't think there is any way to govern it if you have a 5 speed. Automatics may be different... but i have no idea

120 was all I needed to know my car is capable of great speed

ya same here, 115 is all i have done. I get really nervous when i start goin that fast and see cars go by like they are stopped.

I'd rather have retartedly great off the line snap than top speed... i would rather no thave a ball joint fail, or hit a rock at 150mph

ya that would be a ****ty way to die. I never drive on the highway so the only place i can get that fast is on a divided 4 lane road with a speed limit of 55mph. i was racin my friend in a BMW 330i and we were haulin *** past everyone. it would suck to have someone pull out in front of you not knowing how fast you are really going.

fastest i had mine up too was between 130-135 i am guessing (stopped lookin at the speedo at 130 and kept goin a little) that was faster than i ever care to go again
