thats cool I didnt know you could get them that cheap, and I had only seen new ones, and thats why they were 11k, I just didnt think a used 03 motor would be that cheap but thats cool

I wouldn't go with the 03 engine. I have heard lots of stories of installing the engine. Heard it was a pain in the *** specially if you don't know what your doing. It would cost more to get the engine and put it in then it would be to supercharger and nitrous.

Stock GT bottom ends can handle 8PSI with a great tune, some people try getting away with 9PSI. Good for about 400hp...
Unfortunetly, you own the wrong car if you wanted to spank Z06's and Viper's without a huge amount of work.
You can probably find a low mile used 03 Cobra engine in the 4-6k range. Your GT transmission can barely handle 260hp, forget 400hp.

Gt's are very capable cars, just as any other lt1, ls1 if you have $ and know what the hell you are doing.
And it is not like I am brand loyal, I also own two firebirds.
