I'm pretty sure turning the wheel doesn't help, getting sideways just happens sometimes. I might be wrong, I can't recall if I ever move the wheel when it gets sideways. My suggestion is to just lay off the throttle a little bit, it works for me.

heal and toe the brake and gas to about 3.5 to 4g on the tac, hold it steady, dump the clutch, and if she goes sideways let off the brake and people think you just did the coolest burnout ever comming out of it sideways.

I dont like brake stands, though you need em to get a more stationary burnout :P

Its all been said before but do it in this order, I hope you don't have big feet, turn OFF the traction control, heel on brake pedal-toe on gas, put it in first gear, now apply strong pressure to the brake and bring it up to about 3000 rpm, dump the clutch and then try to feather the throttle keeping it around 4000-4500 or so but keep an eye on the tach so you don't hit the rev limiter. If the the rear starts to come around on you, ease up on the gas a bit. 2 things, the front brakes work more than the rears so you won't really fry them and it does take practice, practice, practice. When you get good at it you'll be able to bring up the rpm and lighten up on the brake pedal a bit to keep the car straight AND let it roll about 30-40 feet with the tires spinning all the way and looking cool so try some short bursts first, good luck.

If you want to save your rear breaks then go to like Mustangtuning and get the kit that will alow you to have pressuse on you front breaks only until you flip the switch back....for normal.
