Default Filter to Intake Upgrade

Hello, I'm new here and just starting the upgrade process on my 01 GT - it is an automatic unfortunately but the price was right when I grabbed it. I have done a lot of reading, but I wanted to get some feedback on my thoughts. This is my first effort on the 4.6 cars.

I am starting the upgrade with a CAI, Mass Air Meter, throttle body, upper plenum upgrade. I do not want to have to have the car tuned right away and it is my daily driver. I have no intention of adding any forced induction. Reliablity is a must. I hate HAVING to constantly work on stuff. I am leaning toward MAC and/or C&L for the most part. But I want some input. And I know not all parts are not more or less the same so don't even go there... Who's making the quality reliable stuff?

Here is my upgrade order:
1: The above.
2: Frame Connectors
3: Exhaust & Lowering Kit (Bassani X, Borla cat back & Koni)
4: Underdrive pulleys (Not sure at this time)
5: Rear end strengthening (Girdle, probably an upgraded carrier and a few other things as well)
6: Transmission (Maybe even a switch to manual) & Driveshaft
7: Chip
8: Intake, Cams & Heads (probably the short block as well.)
