i thought i would post my impressions of both units now that i have owned both in case anyone was struggling with which unit to go with like i was.
sct2 - modular powerhouse tims 93 octane tune Vs Diablo canned tune with maxed timing.
both units are simple and simular as far as operations go and are almost the exact price.
i have no dyno numbers because they just dont matter to me its all about seat of the pants and track results to me which will be coming soon so i can compare them that way as well.
first of all, i started with the predator, it was a nice unit and worth the money and in alot of ways one of the best mods one can do. i didnt realize what it did for my car until i returned my car back to the factory tune when i sold the predator. there IS a noticable difference i dont care what anyone on this site says.
i just recieve the sct2 with tims tune loaded this past week. first thing i noticed about the sct2 was it was smaller in size and the buttons worked better for whats that worth, but to me little things like that mean alot when u are talking about a 400$ unit. the proscess of loading the back up and loading the tune seemed to be quicker than the predator.
speed wise, both units were a nice improvement over stock. the sct2... FOR SURE, at least with the mail tunes i have, gives my car more than the predator did. the predators canned tune with max timing stopped pulling in the higher rpms no doubt. tims tune pulled from 2500-to infinity. it pulls all the way through redline with no let up. the sct breaks the tires loose in first gear after 5000 rpm which never happend with the predator.
just thought i would post that if anyone was wondering like i was what the diference was between the 2, as far as just getting them in the mail and plugging them in with no dyno time.
bottom line is get the one u want or get both like i did, or just get the one your local shop can worth with if u are planning on dyno tuning and find out for yourself.
mods include-2003 GT..... bbk70mmTB,trick flow plenum,c&l true flow inlet pipe, k&n, steeda pulleys, off road x-pipe, 180 thermostat, mgw shifter, flowmaster 40 series.

just purchased the predator tuner tonight along with an o/r h pipe. predator seemed easier to use. the sct looked complicated. anyways, when i was stock i ran a 14.065 now i have intake, catback o/r h pipe and predator tuner. do you think thats enought to run 13.5-13.6?? anyone

fryguy22- best thing to do if u want a sct2 from them is to call and talk to rhonda she will ask u all of your current mods u have on your car, give the info to tim, tim will create your tune for your car, then u get it 3 or 4 days later in my case anyways.
rice killer- i ran a 13.4 on the predator tune with the mods listed in my above post. i will be going to the track with the sct installed and ill post the results. i do live in mississippi though which basically has no altitude so track times down here seem to run a little better than higher up places.
