Default gears/ not about ratio

i already have 4:10's, but ive been waiting to put them in because i wanted to do the axles and posi unit. i really dont know if ill ever meet my goals/ dreams for the car. (s/c, full motor, etc, etc.) i have the torque box reinforcements to be installed also. THE ? is Should i get the gears installed and not do the axles and posi unit. I have a rear girdle also. I just need some insight on this situation, before my impulses kick in. thanks.

Well put it this way when I did my gears I just rebuilt what I had and now I regret it because now I have to tear it all back out when I want to upgrade the axles and differential.

you may not need new axles depending on the amount of power you have or plan on making...

yea i do have big plans for it but weather ill have the money or not is another question. I guess I will just stick to my original plan and wait till i can get the 31 splines and true trac posi unit. I already have the gears and girdle so im a 1/4 of the way there. I do think in a few years i will be at about 5-600 rwhp but thats in like 2-3 years. so thanks for the input.

Dont feel bad. Im going on five years myself an I dont see an end in site... By the way, the detroit true trac rocks man... VERY good choice.

thanks yea im not an expert but i know somewhat. I actually know nothing about the true trac but i know it is what i want because i still want it to be driveable. this is my first mustang but ive been doing cars now for about 6 years. five years so i guess i wont feel too bad but the only thing ill feel bad about it having to put money into a car with a lot of miles.
