RE: Let the bashing begin LOL
yea Ive wasted many a corvette and porsche in my day and I only rode a 600 (2004 gsxr). My buddy dropped a guy in a lambo on his zx6r. I mean go to the track and watch the Bikes race, granted most are 1000's and Busas but they are usually stock and they're runnin 9's and 10's all day long. How many true street cars do you see doin that. Once you get passed 140 most smaller bikes run out of gas just because of the lack of gross horsepower. Honestly now how many guys in street cars can be on the interstate doin sixty and simply down shift, gun it, and see 140 in a couple of seconds??? all out straight line performance is another story cuz there is only so much hp you can make with a liter and a half of displacement. But thanks man its nice to have someone sympathize

hey mark, going off topic here, I completely agree with the sig man. I have a yamaha 600 and I am pretty sure I can wax almost anything on the road, and thats only in a 600.

What is your 600 good for in the 1/4 mile? I have seen plenty of turbo/blown/nitrous mustangs waxing 600s and even larger bikes on video.
I thought that a 600 was only good for low 12s/high 11s? They make stock vettes that run high 11s on stock tires now

This is on the list somewhere... thers a huge list.
Just spend 150$-$200 on springs if you want to lower it. If you cant save 150$ I dont think you should be modifying your car. Cut springs suck bad. Its not like its going to cost you 1000$ to do it the rigth way.

honestly a decent rider on modern 600 should be in the low 11 high 10 range. Those vids you see are those few exceptional cases where someone is sporting a 700 hp flaming beast that just outmuscles the guy on the bike at a high mph, read what I wrote it covered this case, I said 99%, not everything. Check out www.sportrider.com and go to their performance #'s section. You can see that most of your sport bikes are churnin mid 10's to high 9's these days. Were talkin street tires now too man no drag radials or slicks, when was the last time your saw a Kenne Bell 500 whp cobra runnin low tens to high nines on his street rubber. But hey speed is what its all about 2 or 4 wheels [sm=icon_cheers.gif]
