Anyone know the differences between an 03 Mach 1 motor and a 00 GT motor? I found a mach 1 motor and i think im gonna swap.

I think the mach I engine is a 4valve dohc vs. the gt engine is a 2valve sohc

ummm where to start?

GT- 4.6L (281ci) SOHC, 9.85(?):1 compression. 260bhp
Mach 1 - 4.6L (218ci) DOHC, 10.1:1 Compression (stock), 305(03) or 310(04) bhp

also the Intake/Plenum/TB/Mass Air/Injectors are different as well.... so much is different. The belt alignment, alternator pulley, waterpump is different too...

i think that you will have to change your mastercylender to a smaller one for the motor to fit and your computer or reprogram yours.

The master cylinder looks more "high speed" in the mach, now that you mention it, I wonder if you can see my master cyl in my engine pic...

so basically the mach motor would be no different to swap than a cobra motor? how much hp does a mach motor put out as opposed to a cobra motor?

'03-'04 Mach 1s were about 305-310.

'99 Cobra was about 320 I think.

'03-'04 Cobra was 390 (supercharged).

Factory numbers, not mine.

i think that cobra engine is actually more like 430 crank horse because stock cobras dyno at around 370 or 380 rwhp?? (the 03/04s)

Only difference between the cobra and the mach motors are the forged internals in the cobra motor.
