Default Head(s) question

Few questions about the 96-98 heads. So they're crappy flowing as we all know. The "act" of smoothing out all the bumps is porting or polishing? Polishing right? Now my question is...I want to do it myself and I know i'm not going to be able to get in every nook and cranny, but even so...if I polished as much as I could get at would it make a noticeable difference? I'm not taking it to a machine shop, i'd rather do it myself and I have the patience. What do you guys think?

I've heard its very easy to ruin 4.6 heads if you don't know what your doing. I would suggest getting a shop to do it.

If you're gonna do it, take it to a machine shop... Their are techniques to it, you don't just go in there with a dremmel and cut out anything that's not smooth...

Where did you guys hear that? It's not hard to do at all. I'm wondering if it's worth doing

Get some sand paper, a case of beer, and have yourself a fun weekend.
