All he really needs is full boltons and a PI swap. A set of cams will make sure the win goes in your court unless you run into john force.

I was able to beat a 6spd car from a dig pretty bad at full boltons and about 258~ WHP. I beat my buddies auto from a dig or a roll at 280 WHP with boltons and cams. I am sure I could have put it on him even harder if I had a steeper gear (n/a).

Its not even a race now, with a supercharger frankly there isn't even any point in racing stock LS1s anymore, but what do you expect?

your DREAMING if you think a stock 5.0 will take a LS1 out. Hell a stock 4.6 GT will easily kill a stock 5.0

actually the LS1 is 305hp at the flywheel and they are 200 lbs heavier so I don't think they would be as powerful as people make them out to be.

Get a full pi head swap, get some ported and polished pi heads, a set of mild cams, some 4:10's and all the bolt-ons, you'll pull on dem ls1's.
