I was kind of dissapointed when i went to the track with a friend with a 2002 transam 6 speed and since i had a few bolt ons i was thinking that i was going to win. Well the race was close, the times werent super close but he was behind me all the way until near the end of the track. I ran a 13.2 @104 compared to his 12.8 @ 108. His car is completely stock with street tires on it. It does however have that SLP option stuff from the factory. Needless to say it changed my mind on those LS1 cars. Your going to need a lot of help in a 97GT

my cams and springs are going in this week then im gonna get it tuned they are comp custom grinds roughly a stage 2 will i be in LS1 territory then?

Youll need more then bolt ons and nitrous. I have a friend here in Pueblo with a 1996 Mustang GT and I beat him in my 99 GT (with bolt ons) and he was spraying a 100 shot. I have not raced an LS1, but they will beat me I am sure, I beat Z28's pretty easy but there is something about those damn LS1's man.
