What can a stock cobra handle?
What kind of power can a stock cobra engine handle? Ideally Id like 350+ rwhp n/a for my car.
The engine builder Im using is suggesting I go with a cobra engine instead of rebuilding my gt engine. Hes got one from a 99 in the shop and thinks it will be more cost effective than doing a rebuild. The rebuild I was considering was a VT rotating assembly and VT stage II heads with cams. The VT setup I am considering will be about 4500 for parts alone. I can get the cobra engine for about 2000. That leaves me about 2500 extra to buy parts to comlete the swap.
What do you guys think? I know the VT setup will be nice and will make some decent power and handle a beating. How do you think that would compare to a cobra engine?
