Cats v.s no cats

RE: Cats v.s no cats
I've seen some post that stated no cats is only about a difference of 4hp. Whether or not this is correct, i'm not sure. I do however have a non-catted Prochamber ready to go on my '96.. will definately be better than the stock h-pipe

The O/R setup is good for about 7 more rwhp over the catted. Bassani's high flow cats do a good job of flowing. Still...7 is a lot, so it's up to you, & bassani gives you the option. I just switch it every now & then. I ran the cats for a while, but doesn't take 15min. to drop them & put the other pipes in their place, so I switched.

I really don't see the point....you can get a high flow cat for about $60 on summit, universal fit.
You don't loose much power (at least not much noticeable), and you avoid all the complications.

If you decide to go with a catted pipe dont waste your time and money on headers, then send your exhaust into a catted pipe!!
That 20-50 thousand dollar fine post was pretty funny, I kept waiting to see you come back on that you were joking around!!!

Well i figured out what i am going to do i have the X pipe on now and mills on and sounds & runs vary good but what i am going to do since i just have my stock tubing going frome the x pipe to the muffler i am going to take a stock cat and weld it in there for emissions and i will use clamps to hold the pipe on to the muffler so i will have cats on my cat back. Then i will get 2.5 inch pipe to go to the muffler since i have 2.5 in muffler then i can just chenge them out when ever. What do you guys think?
