I have Bassani mid-lengths.Yes you would have to get a new mid pipe or have the one you have modified.

i've never understood mid lengths or have seen them. who makes them and what corresponding mid pipe would be neccessary?

I have heard they are a cross between short/long. as in they are easy to install like shorties and make it so the trans can come out w/o pullin the headers, but give better gains

here's a link to someone's dyno results off of md
http://forums.modulardepot.com/showt...+length+header
this is the main reason im getting them b/c you get a great gain w/o size of lt's. im going to college in the city so i cant/dont want to get lt's.

i didnt think you needed a different mid pipe with mid lengths. are you sure u need one? which one did you use? do you get the shorty x or what? i know im getting a bassani x so i know it'll fit idk which one though.

i found where it says bassani's catted x pipe for 99-03 gt manual pn 46003 will fit bassani's "optimum length or oem headers" so im assuming it'll work

I like my BBK ceramic shorties with my X pipe, the car is animal above 3000 RPM's, not as good as LT's but, I've had 7000 miles, no retorque, no leaks, no undercar crashes. I live in a rural area, dirt roads and all, to me LT's don't cut it if you travel on heaved or rough roads, if i lived in the midwest, another story, I'd go for LT's. I get alot of compliments on how MEAN my car sounds when I get gas or go to a rally.
