Default shorties

So I want to get longtube headers but I live in the city and my cats are already getting torn up with all the speed bumps. Would it be worth it to get shorties, or should I just stay as is?

Everyone will tell you shorties are a waste. You wont gain that much. But I guess anything is better than stock.

I don't want to stay stock, and I also don't expect to get much from shorties. The good part is that install will be much easier as compared to longtubes and i won't have to get another mid pipe

The install will still be a PITA. If you get shorties, go with ceramic coated. BBK`s are good for the price.

I have shorties on now and it made a difference sound wise and above 4000 RPM. Definetly gave my car a louder growl.

Above 4000 RPM i felt a big difference when i had my Shorties and X-Pipe installed at the same time. Not quite sure how much power came from which, but the headers definetly made my car sound mean and limited the raspyness from the x-pipe to some extent. I did lose some torque down low, but the canned predator tune took care of the lost torque down low for me.

If you can't do longtubes, I guess shorties are an option. Have you considered mid-lengths??

would I have to get a new x pipe for mid-lengths? If so then I would rather go with shorties.
