RE: 96-98 Cobra or 99-01 GT
I think if he looks around hare enough he can find some lower (40-50K) mileage 96-98 Cobras for under 11 grand easy.
Same for 99-01 GT's,,, he'll just have to look and not jump on the first fair priced car he sees.
Stock for Stock, the two cars are very similar in terms of quarter mile/0-60 time...
I think people have said that because of the funky torque curve on the older Cobras, they feel a bit slower down low, but shine stronger than the 2V up high (which is to be expected really)
It's all preference. Not as many cobras, but they are older and likely to have more miles (unless you can find a nice low miles one). Get what you think looks better, or what you can find a better deal on. Good Luck

Find me a sn95 cobra with 40-50k on the clock for 11 grand and sign me up. I looked for nearly 3 months and couldn't find one. But then again I didn't get the chance to really talk the owners down, but I really think you will need 12 grand to get a sn95 cobra with lower than 60k.

Screw the michigan area then haha, because I couldn't find a really good deal on one. The best deal I found was that white 97 cobra with 55k for 12500. Part of me still wishes I bought that car, but I love my car.

I don't plan on modding my Mustang all that much because I think it will be plenty fast to start with. I guess the GTs will be cheaper though. What is the most amount of miles I should get one with?
