What size?

What size rims do I have on my stock 04 GT w/ 245/45ZR17 tires? 17x8?

Yeah it's 17x8 I do believe... I've heard it tossed around on the forums a bit. You can get a 275 width tire on there safely, and maybe a little bigger if you really want.

(Also, planning on heading out to the thuderbird again any time soon? I still need to get my nitrous refilled, but I've been too broke :D)

No you can't put on a 275 tire on a 17X8 wheel, well you can, but your not suppose to. It rounds the tire out. You end up wearing the middle out of the tire first because it crowns it. If you put less air in the tire, then you wear the outside walls off, because the tire crowns inward. And you diminish the high speed ratings of the tire. It can't handle the same pressure or stress. I would say the max safe size tire is a 255........265 is pushin it....275's your gonna have issues

Yeah, you can, but I wouldn't do it personally. I have a 265 width tire on an 18x9 wheel in the front, and 295 width for 18x10 in the rear... I don't want to go any higher, they both fit well and don't bulge over.
