- Hacksaw the antenna to the desired height. (14-15")
- Pop the ball off the end
- Use a metal drill bit to hollow the end of the ball out. (just enough for it to fit snugly on the cut piece with a little pressure applied)
- Viola. Reinstall your new cut antenna

when you wack the little ball off, make sure you do it indoors so you don't lose it like someone i know

I have a 3" Cadillac Escalade Satellite radio antenna and reception is not bad all.

I got an antenna from CJPonyparts and like it a lot. I think the reception is worse but I dont listen to the radio at all. I only listen to CDs so it made no difference to me. They are very easy to install.

yeah my reception definately is worse where I live. When I go back home to visit my folks though in the Albany area you cant tell the difference though because the signals there are stronger than out in the woods where I live.

I have the 8" one and my reception is fine but when I hit the button 2 make the radio fined channels in different area's it wont find any. I have 2 do it manually
