My car has the fog lamps and the wiring to plug the lights in but no switch to turn them on with. I know where the switch is supposed to be but all I have is 2 dust and dirt collectors (coin holders) in the center counsel. I've been told that there should be wiring for the switch under the counsel. Is this true or do I need to buy some extra wiring to get them to work?

Hmmm..I would pull off the center console and check to see if there is wiring there. Maybe the person before you had the fog lamp switch, but just didn't want it. So, maybe they took it out. I'm not to sure, but I would first check to see if the wiring is there.

The switch wiring has to be there. It is even there on V6's. Why someone took it out before you makes no sense to me, though.

I was told Ford did not put the switch in for some reason in the factory. I was trying to confirm that there was wiring under the center councel before I took it out.

I just said there was. My girlfriend's V6 had the harness there.
