White smoke from my exhaust!!!
today after getting fuel 87 octane, i let the gt idle while cleaning my window off. I pulled out and the gt hesitated then acted like nothing was wrong. As i looked back I noticed alot and I mean alot of white smoke coming from my exhaust. After about 30 seconds the smoke was gone and the gt drove fine. I got home and the inside of my exhaust tips were black. I just cleaned then the night before and they were shiny. What in WTF! could this be. I only hace a CAI and flowmasters that's it. Also ony 40,000mi

white smoke is water.....could be condensation, cracked intake manifold (water jacket), or head gasket going south. The fact it was fine after that puff may just be a one time thing...If it becomes a regular occurrence, then worry.

Let it cool overnight, then go out and drive it. If it never does it after it cools, you are probably fine.
Beileve it or not, I have acutally seen a internal engine coolant leak fix itself. A friend of mine had a dakota that she overheated REAL bad. Ran it tottally out of water in the desert.
When I went out there to look, it was throwing a stream of water out the size of two fingers (out the exhaust). After a few days though we started it again to take it to the dealer and it never had another problem for the last 10,000 miles she owned it.
