Well it turns out that the new tranny put in my mustang just before i bought it (2500 miles) is a heavy duty close ratio 5 speed version of the Tremmec T5. Apparently the same one steeda used in thier 10 second cars. mated with the 3:73 gears, it winds up very quickly. i top out at about 65 max in second @ 6000. just curious what you guys with 96-98 GT's are hitting through each gear? or anyone that might know?

Do you notice how absolutely solid the car feels wound up to almost redline at 100 Mph...its like it was designed to run there.

yea it does feel solid, its so hard to drive it because the car responds so well when you open it up, like it's begging to be driven at over 100+ every time. but i cant hit 100 in 3rd. the other night i think i was at about 90 or so at 6 grand. i'll have to wind it up again and double check what i'm hitting through each gear.
