body kits

RE: body kits
Keep your car stock and build the motor. My opinion is that kits make your car something its not. Like when people put a cobra hood, bumper and emblems all over a GT. I think thats posing and they need to be stomped in the ground for it. Just my opinion though.

It's all a matter of taste. Most people here, including me, will tell you that for what body kits cost (upwards of $1,000) you should dump that money into the engine first, but it's your car so you have a right to do whatever you want. Since you have a '97, IMO the best looking body kits are the Roush and Saleen kits. Basically you could do a PI head and intake swap for the price of a complete body kit.

USAMuscle is right is a matter of personal taste. It all really depends on how much you have to spend too, because you are looking around 1000 or more for the kit then another 800 to 1000 to get it painted and fitted. I had a 95 GT and I put a ton of money in the motor and spend no money on the body. I bought a 00 GT a little over a year ago and I started with a body kit first. Now its all motor for me. I think Saleen Kits look the best for your year too.
