I have an 04GT and I have put some basic 'bolt-ons' to it but I am still not pleased with the performance. Sure, I could put a supercharger on it but I would be taking a chance with blowing the engine up. Since my car is till pretty new and it's still under waranty I figure I might trade it in and get a MachI or a 2001 Cobra. So yesterday I firgured I would go into town and find a MachI or Cobra at a dealership that I could drive. They didn't have a Cobra but they did have a MachI. So I drove it. Wow!! It really rocks! I wanted to trade my car in and get the MachI right then. But I figured I might think this thing through a bit. Now my question here is which one is faster? A MachI one or a Cobra w/o the supercharger? Yeah I could get a Cobra w/the supercharder on it but that is a little above my price range. Any segestions will be greatly appriciated.

I would say 03 Mach1 is faster than an '01 Cobra because of the solid rear axle and 3.55 gears... Plus the shaker is badass. Personally I'd save for an '03 Cobra tho

Full Bolt ons... $2000
Install and Tunning... lets just say $2000

HP numbers.... Around 420rwhp before you have to get into the fuel pump and serious tunning.

Me personally, there is no better feeling then to be able to put a whooping on a more expensive factory car with my GT. My goal by the end of this year is to be able to out run factory mach 1 and 03/04 cobras. And to be on par with modded cobras by Spring 2007.

And my insurance is 178 a month for a GT. At my age a cobra will bring me to 220 a month.... Nah thats ok. The insurance will never no my GT is blown!

There is a big difference in price range between a Mach1 and an 01cobra. Go with the 03cobra. About the same price as a mach1, and MUCH faster.

Price range??? no blown cobras, i would say a mach 1, because the 1st engine i had had 80k miles on it, and i blew it up at almost 600hp. a GT will never come close to beign what a mach is, but if u already have a nice GT, drop cash in it, like victor said, you will be happy with it, and insurence is less, less gas. good choice either way. hell any mustang is

Mach 1's are awesome, but we got a 650 rwhp 03 cobra with 15k miles for sale here in Norman,Oklahoma for 30k if your interested... i test drove it... I cant describe to you how powerfull this thing is... except for when i say 650 rwhp... but it does no justice...
